Vanderburgh County Commissioners
The Board of Commissioners of Vanderburgh County acts as the executive body of county goverment. It is composed of three (3) members elected countywide. They reside in one of three separate districts organized geographically. Districts 1 and 3 are elected in Presidential election years; District 2 is elected in Presidential mid-term election years.

Bill Nix is a construction manager for Industrial Contractors and has over 30 years experience in the construction industry. Mr. Nix was first elected as County Commissioner in 2005.

Vanderburgh County Council
The Vanderburgh County Council is the fiscal body of county government which serves as a check on the Board of County Commissioners. The County Council is comprised of seven (7) members. The county is divided into four (4) Council districts from which one (1) council member is elected from each district and three (3) council members are elected from the county at-large.

Marsha Abell is a realtor with F.C.Tucker/Emge Realtors. Ms. Abell is a Republican At-Large County Councilman and serves as the GOP County Council President.

James B. Raben is part owner of Raben Tire Co., Inc. Mr. Raben is the Republican First District County Councilman. He was first elected to the Council Council in 1991 and has served as the County Finance Chairman since 1997.

Co. Council, 2nd District
Thomas J. Shetler, Jr. is Secretary and Treasurer of Shetler Moving & Storage, Inc. Mr. Shetler previously served as a County Commissioner and was elected by caucus to the County Council in 2006.

Co. Council, 4th District
Lloyd Winnecke is Vice President and marketing director for Fifth Third Bank's Evansville region. Mr. Winnecke is the Republican 4th District County Councilman. He was first elected in 2002.

State Senator/Representative
Evansville and Vanderburgh County are represented by two state senators. In general, the southern third of the county, the western side, and Armstrong Township are part of District 49. Most of the county is in District 50, which extends to the east. Vanderburgh County's delegation to the Indiana State House of Representatives is comprised of four representatives.

Suzanne Crouch has served as state representative since 2005, having filled the seat vacated by Vaneta Becker. Prior to that she served as a County Commissioner and County Auditor.

Evansville City Council
Pursuant to the Indiana Code, the Evansville Common Council (better known as the City Council) serves as the fiscal agent of the City of Evansville. The Council approves all budgeted expenditures by the City and also considers all resolutions and ordinances of the City. The Council is composed of nine (9) members, six (6) of whom are elected from districts, or wards, of the City and three (3) members who are elected at-large.

Jeff D. Kniese is a Senior Vice President at Integra Bank Corporation. Mr. Kniese is the Republican First Ward City Councilman. He and was first elected to the City Council in 1999 and was re-elected in 2003.
